Estimation of Asset Insulation Condition by the Monte Carlo Method

The objective of the paper is to estimate the cable termination insulation level and developing of failure in it taking into account specific network grounding methods in Latvia. By means of PD measurement it is possible to estimate potentially dangerous terminations without power supply cut off. Termination failure probability during its lifetime is calculated by Monte Carlo method.
