            The objective of this paper is to analyze the influence
of the models proposed for representing overhead transmission
lines in lightning surges calculations. A full model of a
transmission line for lightning overvoltage calculations can be split
into several parts: wires (shield wires and phase conductors),
towers and footing impedances.
