Anotācija The reconstructed 3D finite element model of the human mandible was evaluated in a numerical experiment. The mechanical properties of the material for the mathematical model were determined experimentally on the samples from the same mandible and the missing ones taken from the literature. The acting muscle force effect on the mandible was analysed. Several characteristic loading schemes were considered, which are supposed to account for physiological loading conditions. The complete solution was performed and the results were compared with the clinical observations and our own experimental data on the mechanical tests of the samples. A comparatively good agreement between theoretical analysis and practical data allows to accept this approach of reconstruction for the solution of more complicate tasks during computer simulations.
