Investigation of Insurance Company Financial Stability: Case of Baltic Non-Life Insurance Market

The concept of this paper is to investigate main indicators of insurance market stability according to SolvencyII directive framework. The authors have investigated financial ratios, planning tools, risk management approaches to evaluate stability of an insurance company. Main aim of an insurance company stability analysis is to identify and assess possible risks that can occur in an insurance company. The authors also have offered the algorithm of insurance company’s stability evaluation which helps to realize and improve the process management of an insurance company. In order to achieve the stated objective the authors use a theoretical and methodological analysis of the scientific literature, analytical, comparative and statistical methods with the purpose to study the elements of an insurance company’s evaluation.
