The growing volume of waste is one of the most important environmental questions. Every minute landfills are filling with tonnes of waste. Most of the wastes are resulting from industrial, agricultural and energy sector. Energy and its production are one of the most important environmental issues right now. There is a progress in replacement of fossil fuels by renewably energy resources. Although biomass fuel combustion is CO2 neutral process, it creates considerable amount of bottom ashes, which contributes to another environmental issue – wastes and their disposal. Wood ashes are useful wastes from energetic sector with wide range of usage. In industrial sector wood ashes are used in tech-nological processes as filters and absorbents. Wood ashes can be used like fertilizer and land supplement in agricultural sector. There are also uses of wood ashes in building sector, using them as admixture to concrete and as component to make insulation materials. As the waste volume of biomass ashes increases, the objective of research is to find another use of wood and straw mixture ashes in order to avoid disposing them. Authors of the research are examining different usage ways from said ashes.
