The twenty-first century is characterised by mobility, an ever-increasing flow of information an d cooperation between countries in the fields of economics, culture and education - which also brings about changes in university culture. In universities today we can identify more cultural groups than ever before assumed – age and generational cultures, gender cultures, wealth cultures, the culture of rural and urban students, etc. These influence mutual relationships and the university culture, which is also exposed in languages. As the scope of higher education has changed and universities have become a meeting-place of diverse cultures, the building of cultural awareness is an extremely significant issue in Higher Education today
