Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED)
2015
Edgars Bondars

The occurrence of a crime requires three components: a potential victim, a potential offender, as well as site conditions suitable for crime. CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) concept aims to reduce opportunities to commit a crime by planning and designing a place which is less suitable for committing an offense, in other words, safer for the community. In this way the CPTED aims to solve problems, not consequences.
