Vibration diagnostics is one of the best methods for condition monitoring of rotating equipment important parts. Analyzing the vibration measurement results can be concluded on the condition of the node (for example, ball bearing) and make a prediction unit performance. This article describes a real example of a defect finding out in the deep groove ball bearing in the electric motor of metallurgical electric furnace booster fan at early stage, which helped to prevent an accident and great material losses.
