A bra is an essential thing in woman’s wardrobe. Characteristics of bras affect not only their support functions, but also aesthetic, erotic, corrective, hygienic and preventive functions. Bra cups grant a shape to the breasts of a user – supporting, raising, increased or decreased. Bra cups can be: soft, semi-pad (polyurethane foam material only at the bottom), pad and moulded cups. The cups require projection assign seams. Seamless cups are moulded. Currently the intimate apparel with moulded cups can made of polyurethane foam or of knitted spacer fabrics. The last provide maximum comfort to the consumer – support, hygiene, softness. The aim of this research was to review the moulding process of bra cups and experimentally determine the elasticity of spacer fabrics in stitch wale and course direction.
