Intelligent Electric Vehicle Motion and Crossroad Control Using Genetic Algorithms
Proceedings of 10th International Conference on Intelligent Technologies in Logistics and Mechatronics Systems (ITELMS) 2015
Mihails Gorobecs, Anatolijs Ļevčenkovs

This paper presents results of the actual research of intelligent control of transport vehicles on the intersections of roads by optimizing of the vehicles speed and scheduled time to avoid the collisions. The probability of collision is evaluated by target function and is minimized using the genetic algorithm. The improved system that is described in the paper includes additional components such as server part of the global network with data-base, web interface, optimisation module and unmanned aerial vehicle UAV extending the functionality of the system. The usage of UAVs in the system allow to improve the communication between transport vehicles and to detect vehicles, which are not equipped with additional devices.
