This journal issue is special as it is dedicated to the modelling of sustainable development with environment and climate technologies. Sustainable development of countries and society is not possible without the development of environmental sciences which is integrated into other science areas, thus establishing a system for all technological and socio-economic solutions possible. The sustainability of society is ensured through knowledge-based, technological innovations and solutions. Environment and climate technologies play a special role as they become more sophisticated and essential in reducing the anthropological pressures on the surrounding environment and in minimizing the global warming effect. The systems dynamics modelling and analysis theory has been established and is continuing to evolve in order to understand and be able to predict changes in any system as a result of various external and internal pressures and impacts. The journal centres on the analysis and implementation of the systems dynamics modelling idea by modelling the behaviour of environment and climate technologies in different sectors of the economy. The articles in the journal show a fast progression in building up the systems dynamic models: defined systems, setting parameters and system borders.
