Continuous growth of renewable energy with random generation can cause a critical imbalances in power network. To avoid imbalances jeopardizing system stability actions to introduce new energy storage and demand response technologies are taken. Despite these, energy consumption decrease in peak hours is very complex task, since this impact on factory technologies and human needs. The main electricity consumer in Latvia is not industry but privates. In this paper we will try to analyze different innovations- reward based demand response algorithm for residential customers that may help to decrease domestic electricity consumption in peak hours.
