One of the system quality characteristics is a system reliability, which de-fines the degree to which a system, product or component performs speci-fied functions under specified conditions for a specified period of time. Sys-tem reliability significantly impacts also other system quality characteristics, such as performance and usability, and often is the key factor impacting overall quality of the system. With emerging new generation of cyber sys-tems, where three dimensions – socio, cyber and physical are tightly linked together in order to achieve common goals or solve common problems, sys-tem reliability became even more important. This paper addresses the impact of SCPS uncertainty, complexity, and diversity on reliability requirements, and proposes the approach for reliability requirements engineering in the context of SCPS. The approach integrates Failure Mode Effects Analysis and Morphological Analysis in reliability requirements engineering, for the in-depth multi-dimensional analysis of potential failure scenarios.
