Mental Images in Literary Works: In Search of New Meanings
Cognitive Studies of Language 2018
Larisa Iļinska, Oksana Ivanova

The phenomenon of intersemiotic thinking in literature and arts represents a special creative domain – various modes of meaning representation, which involve different methods of conceptual modelling of mental verbal images and their interpretation by means of signs of non-verbal systems. The research is based on the study of cognitive models, symbolism, metaphorisation, visualisation and communication.
