In the present work the LiFeP2O7, Li0.9Fe0.9Ti0.1P2O7, Li4xTi1-xP2O7 (x = 0, 0.06, 0.1, 0.2), Na2MnP2O7, Na2Zn0.5Mn0.5P2O7 and NaCsZn0.5Mn0.5P2O7 pyrophosphate powders were synthesized by solid state reaction and ceramics were sintered. SEM/EDX and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) studies of the ceramics surfaces were performed at room temperature
