Physiological Comfort in Clothing
The 13th International Conference on Global Research and Education "Inter Academia 2014": Digest 2014
Inese Šroma

Today, the comfort in clothing for a consumer is an essential indicator of clothing, which is subjectively evaluated and depends on an individual's senses. Both – positive and negative feelings that the consumer gets through his sensory system, can be described by bipolar descriptors (warm – cold, perspire – blowing through), which can be reconciled with different characteristics of fabrics, their layers related to the physical – mechanical properties, which, in turn, are measurable values. Thus, it would be possible to predict the wearer's level of comfort in clothes of specified fabrics, their layers in the designed garments under environmentally controlled conditions.
