The paper is devoted to the study of the influence of different waveforms on the performance of a commercially available energy harvesting device Powercast P2110B during wireless power transfer (WPT). The experimental study is implemented at sub-GHz frequencies in laboratory conditions. For the generation of different waveforms software defined radio (SDR) and PC with Simulink MATLAB software are used. Single-tone, multi-tone, random and chaotic signals are generated and transmitted during experimental WPT study. For WPT performance evaluation the average transmitted power, average received power at harvesting device input and converted DC power are measured and analyzed.
