Research on Space Vector Modulation for Two-Phase Induction Motor Six-Switch Inverter
12th National Conference with International Participation (ELECTRONICA 2021): Proceedings 2021
Valērijs Maričevs, Kaspars Kroičs

The application of frequency converters in two-phase motors increases electrical drives efficiency in many applications. Inverter for these motors should be cheap and reliable. In the paper, a space vector pulse width modulation technique is implemented for inverter control. The operating principle of selected PWM method is described and comparison with other methods is given. Matlab Simulink simulation model has been created to implement hybrid discontinuous space vector width modulation, to analyze THD of currents, and obtain lookup tables with a duty cycles. Experimental prototype has been developed and control method implemented into low cost microcontroller.
