This paper describes the concept of a modular electro-acoustic research stand, which is based on the construction of an electric guitar, for teaching the basics of electro-acoustic phenomenon at the basic level studies of technical universities. Concept of stand consists of two main parts: basic set and supplementary modules for increasing of functionality of the stand. Such a stand will make it possible to study the signals caused by string mechanical oscillations in the magnetic field and how the signal changes under the influence of noise. Current stand will be useful to study also the influence of type and location of the pickup, the influence of environment and control scheme and help to explain string oscillation mechanics, etc.
