Modern society can be considered as a socio-technical system in which digital technologies play an essential role. Digital technologies have certain characteristics that determine the sustainability of technologies. The purpose of the article is to give a conceptual understanding of the attributes of technologies, which would make it possible to clarify development risks and develop justified forecasts of the sustainability of digital technologies. The results are intended for sustainability researchers, technology authors, and potential investors.
