Within this work the possibilities of transforming low-power hydropower with support to hydrogen production is analysed and economic assessment provided. The production income/expenditure structure of hydrogen has been calculated, and afterwards compared to the income/expenditure structure of electricity sales, a comparison of economic indicators has been made. In order to assess the profitability of the production of hydrogen in a low-power hydropower plant, the net present value method has been used, with a calculation period of 50 years, and the loaning for the purchase of equipment for 20 years. Two different scenarios of hydrogen production plants have been examined. The economic calculation was evaluated under 4 different co-financing options.
