Lytic Activity of Staphylococcus Aureus Bacteriophages in Alginate Matrices

This study evaluated the potential for bacteriophage immobilization in the alginate to control the release profile of the antimicrobials. Thus, the stability (i.e. maintenance of lytic activity) of S.aureus bacteriophages was assessed during various processing steps.
