The Influence of Dynamic Loads on the Vibration Level of Rotating Units of Traction Drives

The paper presents a research of joint oscillations of traction motors and the bogie frame based on a high-dimensional finite element model. The study includes an analysis of torsional vibrations of the traction gearbox and motor shafts, taking into account moments and single shock loads based on a finite element model. The experiment includes three test modes with different mechanical moments. As a result of the study of the acting forces inside the design of the gearbox and the loads on the bearings, the level of vibration activity in the areas of the greatest loads is practically determined. The determination of the level of vibration activity of the traction gearbox and the motor is carried out together with the traction drive control system over the entire range of rotational speeds.
