As part of the study visit, I met with several experts from Europol and discussed the main current issues in the fight against the illegal market, especially the illegal tobacco market. Europol is the European Law Enforcement Agency. It employs representatives of the Member States from the police, border guards, customs, security services and other services. Europol employs many experts, including more than 260 Europol Liaison Officers, it has been supporting thousands of international investigations each year.
