Corporate venturing has become an increasingly popular and innovative strategy for corporations seeking to meet their 2050 Net zero targets. Corporations are expected to lead toward creating broader ecosystem value and are of particular interest and weight within the private sector. Corporate venturing serves as a bridge between the innovative potential of startups and the scale and resources of established corporations. This collaboration allows corporations to explore new sustainable technologies and business models with reduced risk and greater agility, ultimately accelerating their sustainability transition. First, the research employs a literature review of key concepts following a comprehensive search in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Second, it provides qualitative content analysis, resulting in a unique summary of key distinctive categories of sustainable corporate venturing, such as radical innovation, sustainable business models, strategic growth, sustainability-centric culture, and new ecosystems. Additionally, this research has identified gaps in the existing literature, highlighting potential areas for future research on sustainable corporate venturing.
