Currently, there are more than 30 standardized surface texture characteristics, thereby it is important to choose the most appropriate one to characterize a particular surface.The obtained nanocoating surface texture characteristics will be analysed in relation to tribological measurements. Methodology for measuring and evaluating the characteristic of wear-resistant nanostructured coatings will be developed.
