9th International Symposium „Topical Problems in the Field of Electrical and Power Engineering“ 2010
Juris Ķiploks, Ivars Raņķis

Article presents the design of shooting simulator and possible improvements in its application. The use of different sensors in the structure of shooting simulator makes it possible to develop computer-based drill management system facilitating the work of the instructors. Parallel sensor mounting scheme allows improve each shooting simulator performance without radical changes in the simulator structure. The sensors technologies developments give possibility to integrate them into existing shooting simulator systems and optimize their performance. The additional sensors integration according the parallel scheme can significantly improve equipment performance with minimal resources to its modernization. The new technology offers great opportunities to develop advanced training methodology. Increasing the skills by the decreasing amount of time for drilling is vital to intensify the training
