Benchmarking method is a mathematical method that is used for data analysis and is based on data comparisons. Benchmarking helps to improve process efficiency and product quality of organization, and it has become an important instrument to improve energy efficiency in industries. The training course of cleaner production is closely linked to energy efficiency improvement of industrial companies. Therefore, in order to create a better understanding of this course the benchmarking method has been used. As a result, students identified the real status of the industrial companies and provided ideas for industry to promote energy efficiency measures in their companies.
