In the current period of economic development, economic function typical to such situation becomes topical: how to utilize quite limited resources in most efficient way in order to promote State’s welfare. It is important to analyze and assess every possible development direction as well as problems and potential of several fields in order to promote State’s stability and development in general. Topicality of the article is connected with today’s problems of construction field. Aim of the Article is to determine possible solutions for construction field revival and wherewith further economy activation in Latvia. There important role is for construction specificity: no one of other fields have such dependence from State economic situation and contracting authorities. And this is why no one other field have so big losses as construction field in the period of unfavorable economic development. Unbiased economic indexes shows that construction field in Latvia require assistance. Especially important is state and municipal orders for local companies which in recent years have gathered significant work experience. Article highlights the main problems and proposes solutions for construction improvement, which will establish further Latvian economy development.
