Road Traffic Acidents and Their Negative Impact on Human Capital
The Role of Human Capital in the Development of the Countries and Regions of Central and Eastern Europe 2010

Road traffic accidents have negative influence on human capital. RTAs cause the economic losses which are possible to calculate using methods involving either physical linkages or behavioral linkages. The author has illustrated the graphical model of negative influence of RTAs on individual’s earnings, consumption and savings. This model doesn’t show different investments in different levels of education. The amount of RTAs and economic losses were observed and analyzed for determining of welfare change. The main factors of RTAs were analyzed. According to results of research the human factor is present in at least 70% of traffic accidents. The main proposals were worked out for the minimizing of the number of RTAs.
