The paper studies, systemizes and analyzes methods, systems and possibilities of anthropometrical data acquisition. It reviews and analyzes the possibilities of combining different methods and gives a comparison of the methods. Different data acquisition devices are analyzed and their suitability for the acquisition of a human body surface description and measures. The limitations of 3D scanning of a human body are studied and analyzed, the analytical review is provided, possible solutions identified. Two researches connected with the limitations of 3D scanning have been described. The scanning systems for human body measure acquisition use different data acquisition ways: dynamic range (lights and darks), laser beams, a.o. The experiment determines the laser beam reflective abilities of different textile materials and the curve characterising the reflectivity has been compared to the Lamberts’ law diffuse reflectivity curve. An analysis of the oscillations of the human body in rest state has been performed and the significance of these oscillations for 3D anthropometrical measurements has been studies.
