ICT as Educational Environment for EFL Studying

The paper deals with English language teaching and, in particular, it examines the questionnaire computer literacy, the internet access, vocational English needs and learning preferences of students in Riga Technical University. The data will be used for the preparation of the prospective vocational network-based English language course in Riga Technical University. The aim of the questionnaire is to estimate the learners’ needs of potential and prospective vocational network-based English course and to identify the readiness of learners to it. The questionnaire is divided into sections: computer access information, vocational English needs, information and communication technology/open distance learning.
