Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a biocompatible material with good osteoconductive properties. It has been proved that TiO2 layer formed on Ti metal surface causes the advantageous interaction between bone tissues and Ti implant. Therefore TiO2 is promising material for scaffold production for bone defect regeneration. The main goal of our work was to produce ultra porous TiO2 scaffolds with enhanced bioactivity.
