It is obvious that higher education crisis takes place in Latvia. This is proved by the quantity of universities (33, of which 19 are public), decrease of students (on average 15 % per year), migration of workforce, higher education program duplication, as well as, by the fact that science doesn’t interact with the real market conditions. Therefore, reasonable question arises, how a particular educational institution will develop under above mentioned conditions. In today’s global environment many different indicators influence the performance in the market of higher educational institution and its development. One of most valuable indicators for a university is the number of commercialization of scientific elaborations. Therefore university and business interaction should be carefully researched.
