Dynamically stable periodic solutions of a parametrically excited pendulum provide a unique opportunity for its application in engineering, e.g. periodic rotations can be used for generating a uniform rotation from bounded excitation. The main task of this paper is to study the dynamics of a parametrically excited pendulum system by conducting complete bifurcation analysis, using the method of complete bifurcation groups, and comparing the obtained theoretical results with the experimental investigations
