Development of Actively Controlled Ceiling Panel with Incorporated Phase Change Materials
Riga Technical University 53rd International Scientific Conference: Dedicated to the 150th Anniversary and the 1st Congress of World Engineers and Riga Polytechnical Institute / RTU Alumni: Digest 2012

One of the biggest difficulties associated with broader use of renewable energy sources (RES) is related to relatively uneven energy supply, therefore alternative energy sources must be implemented to provide secure energy supply at all times. Phase change materials (PCM) present high potential for heat energy storage which eliminates several difficulties associated with the drawbacks of RES uneven energy supply.
