Interaction between Education and Labour Market in Conditions of the Creative Economy
International Scientific Conference "Management and Sustainable Development" 2013

The world's leading economists believe that currently we are changing from a knowledge economy to the creative economy. The creative economy is an economy based on intangible resources - knowledge, creative ideas and innovation. The essence of the creative economy is to look for something new, to create something different that the world has been lacking. This quest leads to new knowledge, new technologies and new products. What is the role of education in these circumstances? It is true, that nowadays education is to be seen in the long term, rather than a completed phase in human life. Today, the tendency is towards significant learning expectancy. Today, education must continue throughout one's life by becoming the norm for life or lifelong learning because business and production processes are constantly evolving and becoming more complex. Thus, the knowledge and the quality of labour are rapidly aging and must be updated.
