Operational Optimization of Riga District Heating System, a Case Study

The aim of this article is to review the existing solutions and adjust them to local DH systems, test their correspondence with supported theory by applying them to Riga DH system. This article provides a summary of heating load results in dependence of weather conditions (air temperature, wind speed), demand for hot water supply and heating losses within the system and as well as solution for SWT optimization (minimisation).
