Evaluation of Priorities for the Development of Local Governments of Republic Cities in the Context of the Latvian National Development Plan

Every organization needs to carry out business planning in order to choose the most appropriate options to achieve the objectives. Within the organization, successful operation is possible if the activities of individual departments are complementary. Applying the grouping method, the study analyzes the compliance and coherence of the priorities for the development of local governments of republic cities with the priorities set forth in the country's national development plans. Having made the analysis, we came to the conclusion that the priorities for the development of local governments of the republic cities are certainly linked with the priorities related to the priorities of national development, though exceptions exist.
