This paper reviews a study on the heat dissipation of a synchronous motor with a reluctance rotor. This study aims to increase the power density of the Synchronous reluctance motor with an integrated novel two-phase Heat Loops cooling system. The paper gives a short overview of the manufactured motor segment prototype with Heat Loops. Experimentally obtained results for the manufactured 1/12 part of the motor validate analytical results obtained with the help of the finite element method.
