Improvement of the Properties of the Recyclable Polyethylene Terephtalate Blends through Modification

Key to the sucess of the most of commercially used blends is hidden in the selection of intrinsically complementing components or in the development of effective compatibilization procedure. The current research reflects investigation of the poly(ethylene terephtalate) blends with polypropylene compatibilized by polypropylene grafted maleic anhydride and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. Results of the investigation show that the effect of compatibilization is strongly dependant on the composition of the blends.
