International Scientific Dual-Conference "Towards Knowledge-based Economy" & "Enterprise Management: Diagnostics, Strategy, Effectiveness": Conference Proceedings 2007
Konstantins Kozlovskis

The effectiveness of financial instruments’ management depends on the forecast precision of the movements of financial instruments. An investor can use lots of different methods of financial data analysis: technical analysis, fundamental analysis, econometric methods etc. In the paper the author offers a simple method which can help to identify the moments in which a new potential long-term trend is being formed. This method can be used in high liquid and volatile financial markets like Foreign Exchange. The method is intended for medium and large investors but it can be also used by a small investor with according money management. The offered method is based on a moving slope which shows possible beginning of a new long-term trend.
