In our earlier studies of lignin amination with diethylaminoepoxypropylamine (DEEPA), we have shown that the obtained aminolignins posess specific bile acid sorption capacity which is higher than for preparations “Holestiramine” and “Bilignin” currently used in medical practice. A new preparation, “Deapolin”, has been developed. In this connection, in the present work we have tried to obtain lignin amino derivatives from lignin wood polysaccharides complex, and not from individual product lignin (commercial hydrolysis). In so obtained products the unique aromatic and submicroscopic structure of wood is partially retained, which is crucial to enhance the physical sorption capacity of the interrally introduced bile acid sorbent.
